We hope this letter finds you well. We are in the middle of our school year, and we want to express our gratitude for your continued support of Bright Bridge Foundation. Your generosity has played a crucial role in our ability to impact the lives of those we serve positively.
As we reflect on the year so far, we are thrilled to share with you some of the work we have been doing that was made possible through your contributions. Your support has enabled us to:
- Put money into the accounts of children on free and reduced lunch monthly. The contribution is anonymous and allows middle school teens the ability to take part in buying a la carte items that are not included in the state-funded lunch program. We contribute to roughly 95 accounts monthly. The feedback from the schools we serve has been overwhelmingly positive. The ability to take part in something other children can do MAKES A DIFFERENCE.
- For the 2022-2023 YTD school year, we have helped 26 children with new clothing, winter coats, and shoes. The need for warm winter clothing is growing. We serve children who have sized out of assistance from other local non-profit organizations.
- 32 Hygiene packs have been distributed. These packs include all the essentials needed to keep oneself clean, are included when we donate new clothing and are also provided to school nurses.
- 15 Yearbooks for 8th-grade students on free and reduced lunch would otherwise not be able to celebrate the end of middle school and the tradition of having your yearbook signed by your classmates. This number will grow as we await final requests for high school seniors with the same need.
Our first fundraiser was an AMAZING success, and we surpassed our goals!!! THANK YOU!!! We are so grateful to all of those who attended our event, those who donated, and those who wished us the best from afar. The evening was so much fun, and we appreciate the support everyone played in making these accomplishments possible.
What’s next?
Snack, hygiene, and towel drive February 5th and ending February 16th.
