Happy summer, everyone!
As we wrap up the 2023-2024 school year, we at Bright Bridge Foundation extend our deepest gratitude to our supporters, donors, ambassadors, and friends in the community. Your support has been the cornerstone of our success this year.
Mission and Vision
Our mission is to enrich the lives of school-age children by bridging the gap for basic needs. This year, we have worked diligently to bring our vision closer to reality.
Key Achievements and Milestones
- Events: Our inaugural Bridge the Gap event raised over $24,000, which will fund our initiatives in the 2024-2025 school year.
- Partnerships: We partnered with community donors to provide snacks to four local schools. These snacks were given to nurses and guidance counselors, who distributed them to children experiencing food insecurity. This ensured that children who come to school hungry received nourishment at the start of the school day.
Financial Overview
- Income: $39,717 (Donations, Grants, Events)
- Expenses: $28,484 (Programs, Operations, Fundraising)
- Net Income towards reserves: $11,233
Impact
- Graduation Support: We purchased 13 caps and gowns for Skyline High School students who otherwise would not have participated in graduation.
- Clothing Assistance: We provided new clothing, coats, undergarments, and shoes to 40 children during this school year.
- Yearbooks: We purchased 15 yearbooks for middle school children on free lunch.
- Lunch Assistance: Each month, we helped approximately 95 students through our “money in the lunch account” program, anonymously depositing funds into their lunch accounts so they could purchase food items not covered by free or reduced lunch programs. This makes a difference to the children impacted, as it allows them to participate like their peers in choosing food to eat.
Goals for the Coming Year
SAVE THE DATE! Our second annual Bridge the Gap event will be on November 15th, 2024, at Pickering Barn. We would love for you to mark your calendar and join us! Our team is hard at work planning another amazing and fun event!
As we look forward to the 2024-2025 school year, we are filled with hope and determination. Thank you for being part of our journey and for your unwavering support.
